Paradox of music and art


Music born from jacket. Art born from music.

Recent years, a cassette tape boom in San Francisco that goes against the popularity of Spotify and the SoundCloud pushes up the analog culture. This workshop interprets this paradoxical phenomenon from the viewpoint of art.
Besides, three artists who are talked much about now, perfect me (Fukuoka) and a few more musicians will participate in.

Capacity: 20 people each time

Workshop contents

The virtual jacket which was produced beforehand by the artist will be exhibited, and also open production will be proceeded. There will be musicians providing music. Not only jacket buying but also jacket production unprecedentedly will be done.

the perfect me

the perfect me

Artist

the perfect me is a prodigy generated in Fukuoka, solo unit of Takumi Nishimura. He has been performing mostly for live concert after forming a duo in 2013. Though he is not that famous yet, he was chosen for the opening performance of DEERHOOF, American independent music group and the talent was known in Fukuoka. They released the fist CD album "IN TO THE HOUSE", and its unique worldview got supports from music geeks. As massiveeffect, guitarist, quitted the duo in July, 2018, he has been working as solo unit. Nishimura 's uniqueness shines all the way up to compose, arranging, tracking, vocals, including mix with its pop touches. He is the most notable artist right now in the Fukuoka Indie scene in 2018.

Illustrator

Honoka Yoshifuku was born in Fukuoka in 1996. She is an illustrator and still a student.
She draws mostly girls, bikes, cityscapes and her works remind nostalgic animes in 90's and have pop touches to them. As a illustrator, she does live painting performance, designs CD jackets, and sells goods.

Sakura Yokose

Sakura Yokose

Creator

Sakura Yokose was born in 1995, and living in Tokyo.
She appears on brand's lookbooks and artist's music videos as an actress and model. Having succeeded in managing "Jakegai solo exhibition" in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka from scratch by her own, she got spotlighted.
She displayed her works at Hankyu Umeda Main Store in August, 2018.
Currently, she is curating and preparing for the next project in Fukuoka, where she got the most recognizable reactions from the audience.

homesick

Artist

It is a band formed by Yuuki Jyosui in Fukuoka in In 2008. After releasing the 1st single "water beat" in 2010, the band got in inactive period due to troubles of interpersonal relationship with teammate (technically break-up). In 2014, “homesick” come to life again with 84 of The Ponnie & Glyde, Satoshi Tomiyasu of DEEP BLUE, and Motoyoshi of nanosnap. From August, 2017, going through some troubles with teammates brought the bands to play with the present member. In order to establish the genre called melowhop, They perform mainly in indoors.

Illustrator

She is an illustrator, born in 1995.
Her works are digital drawing themed relationhsip that is sentimental. As her drawings evoke empathy, she has been gaining support from the wide range of people. Accordingly, she published her work from KADOKAWA corp. and illustrates for many events and TV programs.
